There is no better way to ring in the holiday season than with the splendor of “Lights of the Wild” at the Hattiesburg Zoo featuring dazzling displays of lanterns highlighting life-sized animals, larger than life plants and Holiday décor. “Lights of the Wild” will take place over 15 nights, beginning December 1st running through December 23rd
Guests will also enjoy Story Time with Mrs. Claus in the Asbury Discovery Center, photos with Santa in the Africa Pavilion, animal encounters throughout the Zoo and unlimited rides on the Northern Lights Express Train throughout the evening. Numerous holiday treat stations will be located throughout the Zoo and include holiday favorites, dinner fare and seasonal beverages.
It won’t matter what the temperatures are in South Mississippi because there will be snow every night of “Lights of the Wild”. The white flakes will be falling at the Splash Pad and at Mt. Everest (Bug Hub) for kids and adults alike to enjoy.
“Lights of the Wild” will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. nightly. Sunday – Thursday tickets (December 3rd, 10th, 17th – 21st) will cost $16 per person at the gate. Friday and Saturday tickets to “Lights of the Wild” (December 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th, 15th, 16th, 22nd and 23rd will cost $20 per person at the gate. Tickets purchased online in advance will receive a discounted rate. Online ticket sales will end daily at 4:00 p.m. Children under the age of 2 are free.
